Want to help transform the Lansing community with a single bowl of soup?
Every month we invite two different groups to share what they are doing in and around Lansing. Our presenters this month are Capital Area Local First and Joshua’s Place!
About our presenters
Capital Area Local First educates the community about the benefits of locally owned independent businesses, and to nurture relationships among locally owned businesses. Thinking local first helps employ local people, create unique places to shop and play, and protect the environment.
Joshua’s Place is a home for men with mild to moderate developmental disabilities. Residents are given the freedom to care for themselves when they are able to do so safely and trained staff is always available to provide assistance when needed.

$5 at the door gives you a vote for the project of your choice. At the end of the night, the project with the most votes takes home the money as a SoupGrant!
You don’t just get a vote, we also feed you! Prepare yourself for an array of delicious, homemade soups that our soup chef, Terry, has in store for you! (Did we mention the soup is FREE?) There are always vegetarian and vegan options available, too.
Our next SoupGrant is on June 15 (the 3rd Thursday of the month). Bring a bowl and spoon for soup – and a friend or two!
6:30 – Doors open
