Join us on November 16 for a special SoupGrant. In addition to amazing Thanksgiving-inspired soups, we are also asking guests to bring something to donate. The donation could be for either presenter—pet or hygiene products—or food items that Terry can use in future soups.
Speaking of soup, here’s what we’ll have on tap this month:
- Tom turkey and biscuit
- Pilgrims favorite squash soup
- Side dish potato and broccoli cheese soup
- Thanksgiving surprise soup
Every month we invite two different groups to share what they are doing in and around Lansing. Our presenters this month are Ingham County Animal Control Outreach Center and Empathy and Equity!
About our presenters
Ingham County Animal Control Outreach Center assists Ingham County pet owners in need. Their services include a food bank for pets, low-cost spay and neuter vouchers for dogs and cats, vaccination, licensing, and microchip clinics, and more.
Everyone deserves to have their basic needs met, but there is a barrier to getting hygiene products. Empathy and Equity works alongside community members to respond to those needs by building and placing small centers for hygiene product distribution.

$5 at the door gives you a vote for the project of your choice. At the end of the night, the project with the most votes takes home the money as a SoupGrant!
You don’t just get a vote, we also feed you! Prepare yourself for an array of delicious, homemade soups that our soup chef, Terry, has in store for you! (Did we mention the soup is FREE?) There are always vegetarian and vegan options available, too.
Our next SoupGrant is on December 21 (the 3rd Thursday of the month). Bring a bowl and spoon for soup – and a friend or two!
6:30 – Doors open
7:15 – Proposals
