SoupGrant Lansing Needs Your Help!

So, we’ve got all these great posters from our logo makeover contest and a whole city to cover.

Can you put up one in your favorite coffee shop? At your bus stop? On your worship community’s bulletin?

Send us an e-mail or leave a comment if you would like a poster! We’ve got plenty to go around so let’s spread the word!

Our next SoupGrant is April 24! See you there!

Indiegogo campaign a success

We want to send out a massive thank you to everyone who supported SoupGrant’s Indiegogo fundraiser!

We set out with an ambitious goal of $500 and here we are, two months later, with $330 on hand as of the campaign’s conclusion on March 9. This is all thanks to your efforts – and not just the folks who donated, but also everyone who shared what we’re doing with friends and family. We can’t thank you enough!

Now what?

We’ll be awarding $100 to our logo makeover winner on March 20 and setting aside another $50 for any redesigns that may be necessary in the future.

The rest of the money will primarily be going towards purchasing supplies for our dinners throughout the rest of 2014.

What if I still want to give money to support SoupGrant?

We’re a small team of three people with limited resources putting together a dinner every month, so we still welcome your support. If you would be interested in making a donation, please contact us at soupgrantlansing@gmail.com.

Feb 20 SoupGrant Winner

We would like to congratulate Mid-Mitten Homemade on winning our February SoupGrant!

With around 40 attendees, we had our largest crowd ever, raising a total of $157 to go towards lawyer fees for Mid-Mitten Homemade as they try to acquire 501c status.

Advent House and Grammies Goodies made it a very close contest. We’re very pleased to announce that Grammies Goodies will be back in March at our next SoupGrant! (And we’re hoping for more goodies, too! They were delicious!)

If you can’t wait that long for more delicious treats, go check out the Bath Township Farmers Market – where you can find Grammies Goodies every Thursday from 3-6. During the winter the market is at the Bath Township Community Center off Park Lake Road.

The SGL team will be meeting this Tuesday to make final decisions on the 10 final contestants in our logo makeover – it’s going to be a tough call! We’ve gotten so many good submissions and we’re excited to share them with you. Be on the lookout. You’ll see them here beginning March 3.
